How to Query
In this section, we will explain what type of information you will find in the Concerts, Biographies, and Participants and Composers tabs and how to consult them.
1. Concerts
The database allows for a simple search by entering keywords. In this case, the search result contains a list of all events that include the keywords searched, which appear highlighted under the event title. This search will yield results by relevance. For chronological results, it is suggested to use the search filters.
It is also possible to perform an advanced search by selecting various search filters. The search result will always be a list of "events" ordered chronologically, which can continue to be filtered using new categories. If the events are incomplete in any of their items (no name, no cycle name, no venue, no repertoire, etc.), this means that such information was not available in the consulted sources.
To start a new search, it is recommended to select the "clear" option to delete the filters used in the last search.
The advanced search is organized into various categories, and it is possible to select different categories simultaneously to ask complex questions, such as: What piano works by Beethoven were performed in 1985? Or, what piano works by Beethoven were performed at the Goethe-Institut in 1985, with female pianists?
